The Ancients are an extremely old race of people, who act protectors of sentient life on Inembleth. It is said that they were the creatures who planted the seed of life that began the races as they are known to the world today. They protected these seeds in their venerable early stages until sentient life could support itself. Then the Ancients, no longer necessary, went to sleep within their crystal cavern, waiting until a time that the cycles of life return Inembleth to a barren state without sentient life, at which point they will again arise from slumber and plant the seeds of life again. This cycle is said to repeat again and again until a perfected form of life is born that will not destroy itself. At that time the Ancients will wake and enlighten the sentient beings on the ways of the universe. The Ancients are protected by a platinum [[Dragon]] they control with a [[Dragon orb]] of their creation. Amavi: This edit was made to more completely fulfill the story of the ancients as I envisioned at the begining of the campaign.

Due to the work of [[Norson|Norson's]] [[Vel'xunyrr Cress|spy network]], the party was able to travel between places instantly through the use of magical doorknobs. Two knobs were placed on two different doors, creating magical portals that connected the two together. Almost every city on the continent was included in the network and it was used for the majority of the campaign until [[Norson]] shut it off in retaliation to the fight over the [[Dragon orb]].

Quinlivan was an ancient platinum dragon the party encountered. Its purpose was to guard a group of archaic people known as [[The Ancients]], whose tombs can be found in a crystaline cavern in [[Valgalen Forest]]. The dragon resided below the tombs, eternally watching over The Ancients. When [[Férius]], [[Fletch]], and [[Norson]] entered the cavern, it attacked them and would not rest until the three violaters of the tomb were dead.

Norson was killed before Quinlivan could reach him. Fletch returned the [[Dragon orb]] to the Dragon and was able to pass on in peace. Férius, however, was not so lucky. He and [[Sylvacae]] were greeted by Quinlivan in the form of a child with platinum hair that unleased a terrifying scream and revealed its true form. After seeing through Férius' bluff, Quinlivan erased Sylvacae's memory and let her go free. Then it swallowed Férius and presumably returned to the Tomb of the Ancients.

Rell has been under pressure lately as there has been fighting breaking out on their western border. They've attempted to stay neutral in this war, but are not having much luck. Troops from other countries are doing most of the fighting, attempting to use Rell as a buffer zone between the free countries and the invading countries.

Rell's economy is having a tough time as bandit attacks have increased and young potential farmers are instead being shipped off to war. There is a lack of troops, food, supplies, and people.
