[[Vae]] constructed an underground tower underneath the catacombs of [[Maggrid]]. She did so in secret, relying on the work of magic and the undead to complete the task. As the two main occupants of the tower (Vae and [[Vorty]]) are both undead, it is safe to save that no living creature knows of its existence.

Vae's tower is seven levels deep, with the first level being the lowest level of the catacombs.

== Level 1 ==

* The entryway to the tower is a secret door that is magically concealed. It is guarded by the captain of the watch.
* The transporter room to apartment is guarded by [[Scotty]].
* 4 marble columns adorn the main room.
* 3 armories (one on the second floor) have a capacity for 25 soldiers each. They are currently populated by 30 6th level skeletons and 30 6th level zombies.

== Level 2 ==
* The necromantic storage room preserves dead bodies. There are currently 14 bodies inside.
* The 7 prison cells are protected by an antimagic field. There are currently no prisoners.

== Level 3 ==
* The advanced alchemical laboratory gives [[Vae]] a +10 bonus to alchemy checks. It currently contains:
** vampire dust
** jeweled mithril knife
** 5 silver daggers
** masterwork silver dagger
** elixir of love

== Level 4 ==
* The Library of Arcana gives [[Vae]] a +4 bonus to Knowledge (Arcana) checks.
* The Library of Religion gives [[Vae]] a +4 bonus to Knowledge (Religion) checks. It contains books on vampires and a sketch of the ur-priest temple.
* The Library of Engineering gives [[Vae]] a +4 bonus to Knowledge (Engineering) checks.
* [[Vae]]'s research library gives her a +20 bonus on Spellcraft checks to identify items and a +4 bonus on Spellcraft checks to perform research.

== Level 5 ==
The vault is well protected and stores many of [[Vae]]'s miscellaneous magical items. It currently contains:
** staff of earthen stone
** staff of necromancy
* [[Vae]]'s scrying room gives her a +8 to scrying attempts. It currently contains:
** ring of mind shielding
** crystal ball of true seeing
** crystal ball of telepathy

== Level 6 ==
* [[Vae]]'s summoning room was designed to aid in the summoning of extraplanar creatures. It contains 96 ruby/emeralds inlaid in a circle in the center of the room. The room also currently contains:
** ring of djinn calling

== Level 7 ==
This level contains only [[Vae]] and [[Vorty]]'s personal chambers. The floor is covered from wall to wall with a thick red carpet. The center of the room is a step lower than the outer edge. 3 marble columns are placed along the rim of this indent. Coffins for Vae and Vorty have been built into the floor and are only accessible through gaseous form. A mini bar with a wide selection of blood-alcohol is also located in this room. A mirror of life trapping that Vae uses as a full-body mirror is also present.
