The orb was passed down from generation to generation until it fell into the Lauraen bloodline.  [[Verin Lauraen]], an elf of important status, had possession of the orb and would wear it to important events of his people.  It was during these events that [[Gwerion]]--then known as Iaa--saw the orb and desired it for himself.
