The Sa'Enkad army overruns Rell's defenses, threatening Cescen and Borr. The party received intelligence that Borr was going to be attacked by demons. The party votes to evacuate the city and Queen Venia gives them 300 troops led by Lander.

The citizens of Borr are frightened by the proximity of the Sa'Enkad army. Burx Olaton, the mayor of this unwalled town of 2,000 people, is trying to get his constituents to stop rioting by bringing in the town guard. The party brings grave news. Some citizens will leave, a handful will refuse. Each member of the party is assigned a district - two members per district - to clear out the city. Roughly 29.2% of the population decides to say, meaning 185 people join the local fighting force. People have attempted to fortify the city with little luck.

A darkness falls on the city during the daytime. The demons approach! Flying people, walking people, weird people - all have unnatural traits. Monks with religious symbols and large standards - the Sa'Enkad demon summoners lead the way. A small band is scouting through the forest, attempting to flank the city from the south. The party attacks the scouting group, taking one prisoner and killing the rest. The prisoner is sent back to camp as the party heads south through the forest to ambush the lead demon summoner.

The lead demon summoner is located in the largest Sa'Enkad tent. It smells gross. Lem runs into a patrol of guards but convinces them he's only on his way to get his weapon before he heads to the front. Gwendolyn entices two of the guards to a nearby tent where she knocks the both of them unconscious.

Defeat of the Head Summoner

The party sneaks into the summoner's tent and interrupts an evil demon-summoning ritual. Trivel and Lem assassinate the head summoner and one of the two assistant summoners respectively. A short fight ensues and the party overpowers the remaining monks and briefly fights off a demon summoned by the last remaining summoner. His death led to the end of the Sa'Enkad invasion.
